Meet The Creative Side of London
The creative pulse of London’s vibrant cultural landscape found its beating heart in 2019 with the inception of The Creative Side of London. Born from a shared desire to create a welcoming, affordable, and inclusive space for artisans in Waltham Forest and beyond, it has grown into a community where makers connect, ideas develop, and collaborations thrive—enriching our local creative scene.
The initiative is independently run by Naila Ahmad, a multi–award-winning textile designer who has been running her own business since 2016. After years of trading at markets and events, she saw first-hand how challenging and costly it can be for small businesses to find the right platforms to showcase their work. The Creative Side of London was created in response to that need: thoughtfully organised markets and pop-ups that are accessible, fairly priced, and designed from small business to small business—with the trader’s experience at the centre of every event.
